Thirteen Welsh Three Thousands
Gwent Mountaineering Club was established in 1976.  The club has a membership approaching one hundred throughout South East Wales and beyond. We cater for all abilities and activities in mountaineering.
Our members have a wide range of interests:- walking, backpacking, scrambling, rock climbing, ice climbing, alpinism, mountain biking, mountain marathon walking and fell running.
We give people the opportunity to take up new activities as well as to improve their own ability in mountaineering.

Evening Meets currently suspended due to Coronavirus (COVID-19). Zoom sessions take place on Thursdays at 7.00 p.m.

With Local Lockdown enforced in many of our Welsh “Counties”, ad hoc Weekend Meets will take place in these “Counties” only for members living in the “County”.

Ad hoc Weekend Meets in non Lockdown Welsh “Counties” and England will take place in these areas for members living in non Lockdown areas and England only.
